THE CONDUCTOR

We built The Conductor for size and speed. It fits on the hand comfortably, but the ESP32 S3's 240MHz dual core processor easily manages the sensors and processes their data for transmission. Four small and fast, MC3416 3-axis accelerometers, and a VL53L1X laser time of flight sensor gather motion related data from strategic points on the hand. A TCA9548A I2C multiplexer orchestrates the sensor data traffic.

PCB's

We designed a parent circuit board to hold the processor, multiplexer and one of the accelerometers along with a squad of connectors accessing an OLED screen, the time of flight sensor, and three tiny child boards holding an accelerometer each.

PCB PARENT BOARD

Custom 3-D printed enclosures hold the circuit boards snugly in place on the user's hand.
